Great cut and color!

I had an appointment with Philip for a cut and color. He did the color first then a dry cut and it was fantastic. I told him what I had in mind, which was my natural color but a little warmer, and he got it exactly right. He made absolutely sure I was comfortable and that I liked everything he was doing. He also explained everything he did, and he gave me tons of tips for how to style my own hair - even some things I'd never heard. I felt like I should be taking notes!

My experience at Michael Avery Salon was fantastic, and I will definitely be returning! Thanks, Philip!

Best salon experience by far!

I was recently a first time customer at the Michael Avery Co. Salon. Because I am a some-what trained cosmetologist, I usually do my hair myself. I was looking for a salon that could help me find a new look while finding a style that could hide the appearance of my over-processed locks. I've gone to Shear Ego... the style was rough, the cost was nearly sickening, and the stylist....well, a beginner. I googled Rochester NY salons and saw the reviews for Michael Avery Co...I picked up my cell and made an appointment with David. He was awesome! He picked out a daring purple-like colour swatch and away he went with my lowlights. The outcome was wonderful! He fixed my "close to a mullet" hair cut I had received from Shear Ego and sent me on my way with the softest, most manageable hair I've had yet! Thanks so much!

• Pros: I loved the friendly atmosphere you wouldn't get from those "other" salons!

David at Michael Avery salon is a wonderful hairdresser. He was welcoming and accommodating. He listened to everything I wanted and did his best job. I will be back.

I have such a hard time finding a hairdresser that I click with, and I have finally found one.
