Great Experience. I am 56 years old and I am a licensed Cosmetologist. I never really used the degree but to do my own hair and some family members. Three years ago I met Michael when he purchased a motorcycle from my daughter. I decided to give him a try, I was tired of coloring my hair every 3 weeks. Michael is the best!. I have had the pleasure of receiving the best service from Michael Avery for over 10 years now. I currently live in North Carolina but my first email when I know I am coming to Rochester is always to Michael to make sure he can get me in for a haircut! I really wish he would move closer to me but I will have to settle for seeing him at least once a year when I am in town!…

Fantastic, talented and personable stylists.. I actually met Michael Avery before I ever set foot in his salon when he was enjoying dinner at the restaurant I work at. He was very kind, and I told him my personal stylist was moving to Florida and I would definitely look into coming there for my future styling needs.

Fast forward to several months later, I finally was able to come in and check out the salon. Michael set me up an appointment with Minnie who is simply amazing! I feel like being Asian, my hair can be difficult to style let alone cut and color, and I walked out feeling like a million bucks and looking like a supermodel (or at least in my mind).

I HIGHLY recommend the salon to anyone looking for a wonderful place to get an amazing hair cut or style.

Also, kudos to the salon for their commitment to animal rights, they have a whole section on their website with resources as well as a commitment to using cruelty free products. This is something close to my heart being a lifelong animal lover and a new (ish) vegan.…

MINNIE is a miracle worker!!!. I discovered this amazing salon after another upscale Rochester salon butchered my hair. I spoke directly with Michael on the phone - he was compassionate and eager to help. They got me in the SAME DAY with Minnie.

The ambiance at Michael Avery & Co. is divine and all of the stylists were warm and welcoming. I love that everyone interacts with one another - it's a very harmonious vibe. Minnie took the time to listen to what I wanted/needed from a hairstyle and was able to transform my uneven, butchered mess into the exact style I had envisioned!!! She is hands-down the most talented hairstylist I've ever met. She is definitely not afraid of a challenge! I cannot wait to go back for color! - Minnie is truly and artist, her passion for hair is so evident...when someone loves what they do, it shows!…
