Worst Customer Service!!!!. I searched online for a salon that would help a person like me with Lupus and Hypothyroid put extensions in my hair, due to the loss of hair from these illnesses and the medicine I have to take for them. Defining Beauty Hair Salon's website stated that they specialize in helping people with the same situation as myself. I met with the owner, Mecca, and she assured me that she could provide me with he best services. After going in for an consultation, I set my appointment for her to put extensions in my hair for that night., even though the salon was filthy, i felt like she knew what she was talking about. When I came back for my appointment, i paid $400 for virgin Brazilian hair, which she insured was the best hair. After the third day of having the extensions in, I washed the hair like she had directed me to. The hair then became matted and unruly. That same day, Mecca had left me a message on my phone, that she had tried the hair herself and it is horrible quality. I went to see her the following day, she then asked me to be patient as she orders new hair to use for me, and she would install the new hair after taking the poor quality hair out of my head that week. I agreed to call her the following Monday, and that is when all of the problems started. She started blowing me off and telling me she is very busy with other commitments and that she would have to charge me another $200 to remove the old hair and put the good quality hair in that i had paid for, and told me that she was doing me a favor by charging me so little. I was appalled, and expressed my dissatisfaction to her. We went back and forth and she then told me she didn’t want to argue with me over the phone and that we would discuss the price when I came in to get my hair done again. I then called her several times and she would no return my calls. Then finally, she made me an appointment, which she never showed up for. I called her from another phone number and she answered right away, and that is when i expressed to her why I didnt understand why I was being treated poorly and she said that I was driving her crazy and that I am lucky that she was giving me the time of day because if I went anywhere else they would have charged me a lot more. In my consultation, she said to me that she guarantees her work 100%, which as we see, is false advertiment to her business and herself. I went to the salon asking her for the receipt for the services i had paid for and she was very rude, saying "No I will not, I gave you that service two weeks ago" and then threw me out of her salon. The reason why I am writing this review is to warn others so that no other person will get scammed or treated so poorly as I was treated. The end result to this situation was that my $400 was taken and I was left with the horrible quality hair left in my head and a lot of unneeded stress.
