Herman Brothers has it all!. Whether you need appliances or furniture, you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't visit Herman Brothers! They are a long established and well respected merchant. As soon as you enter their store, it is obvious why this is so. They carry a wonderful supply of merchandise. Their staff is friendly and helpful. You could go somewhere else and pay just what the price tag says. However, that's not how they do business. They are not opposed to haggling! I have never come away from there without feeling like i got a deal! Go ahead and go somewhere else if you want. They do not sell junk, which there is plenty of at the "big box stores". Their creative promotions keep me coming back. If you've never been to their store, give them a try. I don't think you will be disappointed!

Don't Shop Any Where Else. I came on here to write a review based on many years of experience dealing with Herman Brothers and to my surprise I see two negative comments. I find both very hard to believe.

I have purchased all of my furniture and appliances from Herman Brothers, including two tv's. I have been doing business with them for decades and have only had a few minor issues with appliances (through no fault of Herman Brothers). If you're an intelligent person you can understand that appliances and tv's can have issues from time to time just like a car. Whenever I have had a problem, I called Herman Brothers and a serviceman arrived that same week to fix the problem. All of this was free to me and under warranty. Try to get Walmart or Lowe's to do this. My daughter lives in Florida and she purchased a dishwasher from Lowe's. Two weeks after she bought it, the dishwasher stopped working. She was told to call the manufacturer to take care of it. This was six months ago, she still doesn't have a new or fixed dishwasher.

I do not believe that Herman Brothers did not either fix the tv or offer to take the tv back to replace it with a new one. Sounds like a bogus post to me...

bad business practices. If anything you buy here doesn't work right, they will fix it, but to their own standards (not the customer's epectations of quality). The lemon I bought is now a "repaired" lemon. I could not afford the restocking fee.

I won't shop here again. In Geneva, Lowe' has appliances and WalMart has TVs. Both have a 100% money-back guarantee if not completely satisfied (and no restocking fee)!

Rip-off (lemon). I bought a plasma HDTV for $1300. It did not work so I returned it after 3 days.

They charged me 25% "restocking fee" or $350 !

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERMAN BROTHERS UNLESS YOU'RE SURE IT WORKS.

Not sure how you would test a washing machine or oven. I guess recliners are OK.
