My brother was here with a feamle friend, just a few nights ago...
They didnt know it was a "real" bar, other than by the 7up sign on the front of the joint. They were driving with the lone purpose to get lost and find a bar they would not normally come across....
After they were inside, my bro heard from the bartender, some rather startling loudly whispered words: "what are those two doing here?"
after a few minutes.....KENNY ROGERS: THE GAMBLER was playing. My brother started softly singing along.
A midaged biker looked to him in wide-open eyes: " you know this song?".
My brother obviously knew the asong.....and min utes later the biker / youth crowd was arm-cross-shoulder.....singing kenny rodgers....
The bartender afterward looked my brother and his girl in the eye, and said "you two are alright"....
After being accepted into the bar as "people known", the bartender gave my bro's girl a few bucks to pick songs from the juke-box.
As she started to look over the pearl jam songs, the bartender screamed: "NO PEARL JAM. WERE NOT LISTENING TO PEARL JAM!!!!!!!"
She went with two CCR songs, and A TOM PETTY SONG. It went well, and they made firends with the bikers....
the rest is history....
