What a great place!.
My first trip to the Rochester could not have been better. Friendly city, friendly people, friendly atmosphere. The icing on the cake was dinner at Richardson's Canal House. The service was excellent. I had the beef tenderloin and it was very, very good. The Canal House is a "must" when in the area.

Not all it's hyped up to be.
Go to Legends in Penfield if you want food like this. It's ten times better. If you're not accustomed to finer dining, it might be ok (like if you're the type to put ketcup on filet or eat baked potatoes more than three times a year). You know who you are and you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. My friend Billy cooks lamb chops in the toaster over. Shame on you Billy.
