TRU for you!. I have been a patron of TRU for 6+years with appts every 6-weeks. Julie Judge - owner, has demonstrated repeatedly to go above and beyond to make certain every client is pleased with their service, providing she is given the "courtesy" of knowing differently! So to the "cowards" who feel compelled to write unjust reviews, either never stepped foot into TRU Salon or never had a "face-to-face" discussion with Julie, to let her know otherwise. Front desk staff - Nick & Meg are very cordial, greeting you with a smile and efficient! Melissa Sage -stylist is exceptionally experienced, listening intently to my hair woes and providing a style that gives me confidence and makes me feel beautiful every time! Since using Aveda products 8-years ago, my hair has never felt or looked better. The compliments I receive is the testament! TRU has my loyalty and if you give TRU Salon a chance, I guarantee...TRU will be FOR YOU!…
Best service ever!. First, I have to say that I love visiting tru salon. It's in a great location in scenic schoen place. If I have time, I like to try to eat at Aladdin's overlooking the canal when I'm done. The last time I visited tru I had not thought at all about what I wanted-too busy! Luckily Julie had plenty of ideas for me and gave me a great haircut--and it was something I never would've thought of doing. Plus she does an excellent scalp massage before cutting! They all do! Every time you get your hair cut they massage your scalp first with lovely smelling essential oils.…
Highly Recommend - Julie and Krystal have been great!. I have been going to Tru Salon for over a year and have had haircuts, highlights and other services. Julie Judge (Salon Owner) was highly recommended to me by friends when I was in need of a hair style make over. I went from very short hair blown dry straight with no color to a longer style using my natural curl plus highlights and low lights. While it took a year to grow my hair into this new look, the result has been excellent and exactly what I needed. I would encourage anyone looking for a style makeover to trust Julie's vision and not go in with a magazine clipping or mindset of what you want. Tru Salon is the best! Classy too!. I have been going to Tru Salon for a couple of years now. I have had nothing but positive to say. Rachel is my stylist. I have referred many to Tru Salon. Every one I have referred to Tru loves experience. The warm greeting, the personal attention. Not to mention the area is beautiful. Tru Salon sits along the canal In Pittsford NY. Very Interesting negative reviews here, Not?.
In going through the reviews for this salon, I find it very interesting that all 3 negative reviews were almost exactly one month apart, being posted on 7/8, 8/9 and 9/7. Coincidence, or perhaps
staff from a competitor lashing out because they are feeling the terrible burn of competition? Take the one on 7/8, for example. "I drove to the place and it was in a horrible location next to the canal" Are you kidding me? It's at Schoen place, one of the most scenic and picturesque settings in Rochester. The the reviewer goes on to state " I do NOT recommend going there, not even to by products! If you want good Aveda Service go to another location in the area" Gee, "not even to buy products" and recommending you go to ANOTHER AVEDA salon in the area. Hmmmm, wonder where that might be? And regular clients don't typically refer to shampoo and accessories as "product" Salon staff and owners usually call it that.
The there is the reviewer on 8/9, who refers to the coloring of her hair as a "color service". Again, I don't know any non-professionals who refer to getting their hair colored as a "hair service" And more of the same from the reviewer of 9/7.
I mean, come on Other Salon Owner, why don't you improve the services and experience your clients have at your own salon, and maybe they wouldn't leave to come to tru. Pretty desperate.…
