Best Mexican Food Ever!!!. My family and I have become regulars at Marias Resturant in Webster NY. The food is outstanding with everything you order coming to you whole made and fresh including the chips and salsa. We have tried many Mexican Resturants leavng them disappointed and always coming back to Marias. The food, The drinks, the hospitality and the servicxe are by far the best we have ever encountered. I highly recommend Marias to everyone!!!
Worst Mexican in town. RUN AWAY from this place..
We went to Maria's on a Wednesday night, hoping the crowds would be less than on the weekends. We were seated quickly and brought a basket of freshly baked chips and salsa. We each ordered a margarita and were both pleased with the flavor. It was average size at best. I ordered fajitas and my date ordered a three item combo. My "fajita" was a grilled chicken breast served over very bland Mexican rice and a cheese enchilada. When I asked the waitress if she brought me the correct meal, she said "yes, this is the Mexican fajita, you are thinking of the sizling fajita." So basically, there was no peppers or onions, no sides of salsa/sour cream/guacamole or any type of sauce. Just a very dry piece of grilled chicken. I asked for a flour tortilla so I could at least try to salvage my disappointing meal. The cheese enchillada was VERY bland and tasted like it was heated in a microwave. It was rubbery and awful. Couldn't eat it. My date had a burito that had nothing but some chopped meat in it - no other cheese or sauce. Just ground meat rolled in a flour tortilla. His taco was greasy and filled with mostly lettuce. He had the same problem with his enchillada as mine. Bland. No flavor and rubbery.
The owner's daughter blamed it on her regular family members not being in the kitchen to cook. Poor response. No offer to comp any of our meal. We both barely finished half of our meal. VERY disappointing food. I'm not sure if the other people who left a positive recommendation ate at the same place we did.
By the way, our final bill was $43 for two meals and two margaritas. A lot of money spent and we still had to stop at a pub on our way home for some food!
We were pleasantly surprised!.
We arrived early and were seated immediately.
The food was outstanding- everything is made from scratch- and the wait was not bad at all.
The best part was the margarita! They were the best I have ever had...and that is saying something!
Real Mexican food here. Very good. One of the few Mexican restaurants in the area where the establishment is owned by Mexicans and the food is prepared by Mexicans. For example, the chips, taco shells, and burrito shells are made from scratch. Beef dishes aren't made from ground beef, they are made from baked beef roasts pulled and shredded. This is authentic Mexican cuisine. Lobby and bar area are poor. Service can be great or fair. But the food is worth it!
Go for the chicken mole!. While the mexican food and drinks here are average, their chicken mole is the best in Rochester. Having lived in Mexico, I know my moles. I've tried the other Mexican restaurants' moles (unfortunately, there aren't too many on the menus here in Rochester) and theirs' don't come close to Maria's. It's dark brown, thick with the right blend of chilis and chocolate. If nothing else, go to Maria's for the chicken mole enchiladas!
If you like Mexican food, don't come here!. The food is terrible. There are no flavors. It looks like Mexican, but it sure doesnt taste like !
