Tips are for the wonderful staff (Don't forget those hardworking folks behind the counter cutting your fish!) Tommy and crew put out a superb meal every time we go. The fish is the freshest (he has it flown in fresh times a week and cuts it from whole fish on-site.) Creative, beautiful and tasty. We rate it five out of five stars.

unique sushi. A uniquely Rochestrian style of sushi awaits you at California Rollin'. Prepare to be surprised by the various maki inventions that the sushi chefs offer. Unlike any sushi you've ever had before, and in the artistically beautiful Village Gate.

good neo-sushi. if you like traditional japanese style sushi don't go here... if you like neo-sushi / americanized / hawaiian style sushi then this is the place for you. menu is very varied and provides some interesting combination of flavors. well suited for america taste buds!

Best Sushi in the Country. I have been all over the US and California Rollin knows how to do sushi. They're the only place where you go JUST for sushi and not all that other Americanized Japanese food. Their Wasabe Bombers kicked you in the mouth and the Tempura-ed Ice cream is to die for. I'm in town for the weekend and I crave nothing but Cali Rollin! See you guys Sunday!
