I just wanted to say how happy I was with my last repair. You replaced my exhaust from the converter back for less than monroe muffler and I have been very happy. Thanks for the excellent work and your honesty!

I usually do all my own work, so when I am getting screwed by mechanics I know pretty fast. My clutch went on my 98 subaru in the middle of winter. Normally I would replace this myself but because I am in school, work full time and have a few other commitments I decided to take the car to the shop. I chose Vesa because the originally quoted me the lowest price and were in a accessible location. However when changing my clutch they charge me for some exhaust they broke, new exhaust gaskets and a torn CV shaft boot. I agreed because I probably would have done the gaskets myself, Its possible the boot could have been torn and my exhaust it a little old so it is possible it could break coming apart. The total bill ended up being about 200 more than the quote. I get the car back and its continually smelling like burning. So I take it back and they tell me the output shaft seal is leaking on my exhaust. They say its not their fault that its now leaking after the clutch job. At this point I am leery but I think its possible the seal is just old and probably needed to be done anyways. However they should have done this with the clutch because they charge me another 200 to replace it. I get the car back today and the exhaust is noticeably louder, now I have a hard time believing that since they just fixed the exhaust that its now got another hole in it. It also seems they are either intentionally breaking stuff or not fixing stuff that goes wrong during their repairs so that I come back and give them more business. It also makes me question if they broke the CV boot and decided to charge me for it. You better believe that I will fix this exhaust issue myself and I will never take my car to Vesa again!

Dishonesty is the game

On July 22, my car would not start. Ugh, what a morning. I had my car towed to Vesa?s automotive. They looked at the car the next afternoon and told me they had good news. The wires were loose and simply needed tightening. They ran a diagnostic test on the vehicle and said that the starter was working fine. They also indicated that I was overdue for an oil change. I was happy to hear I would not need a new starter and agreed to what they recommended. I came to pick up my car after work and they appeared to be stalling. I was in the lobby for nearly 45 minutes before they finally came over to tell me the car would not start. WHAT? Now they had the car on the diagnostic system and this time they were telling me the diagnostics show a faulty starter. I was still holding the diagnostic report from earlier that said my starter was fine! The really amazing part, I had a similar dishonest experience with these guys earlier in the year. I realized this was their M.O. They up sell you for things you don?t need and then they get you when you come to pick up your vehicle. I thought the first time was a one off thing. I was wrong. I told them that I no longer trusted them and wanted my vehicle back to take to a more reputable mechanic. Unbelievable. They continued on about needing a new starter and what it would cost, etc. They were also getting ready to close so they would need the car one more day. I told them to get my car started and out the door so I could leave. Magically, the car was started and I left. It has started every morning since. I do not need a new starter, at least for the time being. These guys are dishonest. They are salesmen who are out to make money.
