TOO BAD TO LIST IT ALL. We made reservations 3 hours in advance for a party of 15 following a funeral. Upon getting there they were clearly displeased with such a large party and that was obvious in their attitude. The server while taking our order shouted across the room to the other server that our party couldnt get mashed potatos we could only get baked or they would run out for the later dinner croud. Um excuse me we are here now with a reservation and if we want mashed and you have them available you give us mashed. 4 of the 15 people never got their good and 30 minutes after the others food was delivered we had to call it to the servers attention that 4 people still didn't have their meal. My food was delivered to someone else entirerly so i had to wait for another meal to be made. The servers were very very rude unapologetic for their errors. when bringing this to the owners attention he didnt offer an apology a comp in any way or even a friendly dimeanor. He was more rude than his rotten service staff. Will never ever ever dine at this location again they dont deserv a second try.

Under New Ownership. The meats(Sausages, Burgers, Steaks) are no longer made on site. The meat is cheap and terrible but the prices have raised. Terrible managing. Have switched to many frozen foods instead of making them on site. Used to be my favorite restaurant under the ownership of Rick and Russ Palumbo but since the sell off of the restaurant the new manager has lost focus on why the Char Pit has been around for so many years... The Excellent Food they once had.

A place to see anyone and everyone. The steaks are so good that you might even see people there that you swore didn't eat this kind of food.

Steak sandwich here I come!. This place has hands down THE best steak sandwich I have ever had in the nation. Get it trimmed on a hard roll and you won't be disappointed...all for a few dolloars!

Their burgers? Just as good and try the hot sauce.

Be warned though, this place is a TRUE old "diner. Old, kind of dingy, but right near the beach, fast service, great prices and great food.
