Best pizza in all of Rochester!!!!!!!
Definitely worth getting a slice if you are visiting of if you have lived here your entire life. I would eat it every day if I could!

I am originally from Brooklyn so I know
my pizza. The pizza here is the closest I have found to NYC style pizza in town. This pizza reminds me of home!

Outstanding NY Pizza - The Real Thing.
This is the real deal, Jack. Genuine NYC pizza, not that bready crap you get all over town from Pontillos, Pizza Hut, Marks (yuck) and almost everyone else.
Hands down, the best Pizza in town if you can get to it. Unfortunately, the lack of a downtown has seriously curtailed hours of operation over the years. Note, a pizzeria (and this is the only place in town that really deserves that name) has the chairs and table and the condiments in the glass jars and a little window to sell pizza to people walking by, (even if no one in this town understands that, it's comforting to know its there)

Getting hungry just thinking about it.
The other reviews here are right on. Rather than repeating the same thing again I will simply recommend checking them out. Small place with awful parking but definitely worth going!

NYC Pizza.
I go here for lunch all the time. This isn't LIKE NYC pizza, it IS NYC pizza. The owner is from downstate and makes most of the pies. This is no chain, it's like a small independent pizzeria cut right out of Manhattan and put in downtown Rochester. At lunch they offer thin crust and Sicilian squares. If you care about your pizza or miss NYC you should go.

Good NY-style pizza.
This is about as close to true NY-style pizza as you are going to find in Rochester (though Cam's and Sal's are up there too). Thin crust, not too much cheese, nice tangy sauce. It's not outstanding, mind you; if it were in Manhattan it would only be about average, maybe a little above. But as a lover of NY-style pizza, I'd say it's among Rochester's best. My only complaints are: (1) the slices aren't very big (not an issue if you're getting a whole pie); (2) it closes early - it's mostly a downtown lunch place; and (3) it gets hotter than hell in there in the summer, though you'd probably want to eat outdoors most days anyway.
