43.111733 -77.548649MANAGER LOST IN SPACE. My husband and I decided to try Mundo grill for the first time in a long time. Our experience started off well, then our waitress showed up. Disheveled and unkempt she stuttered through the specials and knew absolutely nothing about the menu. That aside, we ordered and waited for our food. And waited...and waited. When it finally arrived, it was ice cold and our space cadet server was no where to be found. When we asked another server to see the manager he reveled to us that our server was IN FACT THE MANAGER!!! I couldn't believe what I had just heard. After our food was brought back out and she was not seen again until the check was dropped. If this place plans to stay open they may want to rethink their management situation.
Tuna was ok.
I was told that the mundo was a great place to eat. So took myself and 3 other friends with me.
We had a reservation. We waited 30 minutes more than our res. order drinks and our meals.
The couple in our party recieved there meals ahead of us. Our meals came shortly after. the tuna was cold and the chicken was cold. We asked to have them rewarmed and now problem.
The service was ok at first. As the dinner went on the server was not to be found. We paid the bill and was very dissapointed. I could only hope the kitchen does a better job in the future.
Not the best place we have eaten at. Great for getting a drink quick.
Disappointing.. Visiting from San Francisco, I decided to take my family there, as the menu looked pretty decent. The service began very nicely, and, though my salad was not reflective of the description, I was looking forward to my entree. After awhile, some entrees arrived, and several minutes later, the remaining entrees arrived. Worst ahi I have ever seen. It was inedible. No one came to our table until the rest of my family had finished their entire entrees. I was finally able to send it back, (the only time I have ever, EVER sent anything back,) and then it was not removed from our bill. I will spare you the laundry list of subsequent inconveniences, and state simply that it was the least elegant, least graceful service I have ever received. What an utter disappointment.
HIDDEN TREASURE.
JAMES, THE OWNER, HAS A JEWEL ON HIS HANDS.
THE HARD WORK HAS PAID OFF. THE AHI TUNA WAS GREAT. THE SMALL PLATTER OF SEAFOOD, ESPECIALLY THE CHILLED OYSTERS WAS PERFECT.
HOWEVER, THE SPECIAL SURPRISE WAS THE ABSOLUTELY DELICATE GNOCCHI. FANTASTIC. I HAVE ONLY HAD BETTER IN TWO SUPERB NYC NORTHERN ITALIAN RESTAURANTS. WHAT A GREAT FIND! NO DOUBT I'LL RECOMMEND HIGHLY
AND TAKE OUT OF TOWNERS THERE.
