I've been coming to Park Ave Bike Shop for over 12 years now since I moved to Rochester. They have great specials and are very willing to educate customers. I've bought all of my family's bikes here and we get them tuned up every spring. No one better!
I was impressed when I first came in here, one of the bike pros approached me right away and even offered me a free estimate on my bike that I brought in to service. I never felt roped in like I do sometimes at other shops. The pricing was competitive and in my opinion they do a much better job.
The customer service here really does go above and beyond. When I walked in the door there was already someone there to help me. Since I don't know much about bikes they helped me out and taught me a lot, got a great bike for a fair price.
I receive personalized attention when I'm there and most of the staff knows who I am. I highly recommend the shop since nearly every time I go in with a small question or quick fix I can get it taken care of on the spot and very quickly.
The people here are always friendly and get the work done when they say they will. Their manager Alex is a great guy.
Great selection of parts (why I usually go). Staff is usually very friendly and knowledgeable. They've done a nice job servicing my bikes in the past. Big reason I go here is because of their better selection of bikes. I'm looking at more high end CruX bikes, not the run of the mill Huffy.
Park Avenue (Henrietta Location) - servicing. I first became aware of the bike shop in 2011, when I moved to Rochester. I rode with one of the shop's employee at its weekend ride starting at Henrietta (600 Jay Scutti Blvd). My first impression was positive and I eventually brought my bike in for a tune up as well as changing my handle bar. When I picked up my bike, one of the shop's mechanic broke my front derailleur mount on my Guru Crono and instead of offering to repair the damage. I was told that the mount was already broken. It was unfortunate that I didn't take a picture before hand, similar to what people would do when renting a car. A simple tune up ended up costing me $500 for a repair at Calfee, $300 to replace the mount, and an addition $100 for paint touch up. In addition, I had to contact Guru to send a mount to Calfee. - Stanley
Reliable. I bought a bike from here and I bring it in for repairs whenever needed as well. They have done a good job making sure it rides like new even after all these years. They are very reliable and experienced and they know their stuff when it comes to biking. -Marc M
Good Experience. I've gotten my bike and some accessories for it at the Park Avenue Bike shop and every time I go in, I can find what I need and get on my way. The staff is helpful and nice, and helps out with any questions I had, and that definitely made the shopping easier. I have lived in Rochester all my life and so I knew of this shop before I went and I had a very positive experience. - R. B.
