Tips for Thai Taste

Best Thai Food in Rochester. I've eaten in Thai restaurants all over the country and this is hands-down the best. The spices are delicate and not overwhelming (even the hot dishes). I can unreservedly recommend this place.

One of ou favorites. My husband and i have been dining at thai taste since before we were married. We absolutely love the food, out of the 7plus years we have been going there. Once! we had a bad order, seemed like a different chef. Other than that every meal has been consistent and delicious!

It is like comfort food for us, the staff is sweet and accomodating. The ambience is quiet and reflective.

We enjoy the satay, Pra Rarm Long Song and my husband likes the coconut soup. We are not big on spicy so their foods are perfect for us.

Highly recommend!

I would however love to get my hand on redecorating the dining room :)

Best Thai in Rochester. Im really surprised to read the negative reviews which is what prompted me to write my own. I live within walking distance to Thai Taste and eat there every chance I get. If i could eat their Sesame Chicken on a daily basis, life would be good. After reading the reviews from "brose003" and "sat45" I wonder if they are possibly from the competition or ate at a separate restaurant. "Bros" cant even recall what he ate...just that it was "weak at best.." I have NEVER had a dish their that was supposed to be spicy that wasnt. And if you ask for very spicy, you better be damn sure thats what you want because believe me, it is. The food is simply amazing. Their chicken I think is free range, or at least extremely high quality. It has that texture that only free range, high quality chicken has. The way chicken should taste. And the owner who also acts as hostess is one of the kindest ladies Ive met. She is always friendly, always quick with service. Its just top notch all the way around. Please, do yourself a favor, dont listen to the negative reviews. Listen to the 5 stars they received from City Paper. Listen to the good reviews. I promise you wont find better Thai in Rochester.

Weak, at best.... We just moved to the area and live right near Thai Taste so we were excited about the possibility for some delicious thai down the block...we were disappointed with nearly everything about this restaurant. First off, the waitress (owner?) did not write down our orders; one of the soups was incorrect and we suspect that one of the entrees was also not what we ordered. The soups were flavorful and spicy...they were the reason I am not awarding Thai Taste 1 or 0 stars. We asked for our food VERY spicy which apparently translated into "NOT SPICY AT ALL." The red curry tasted like watery coconut milk with a little basil flavoring and the chicken tasted boiled. The other dish (which was supposed to be another curry dish) was like a thinner version of General Tsao's with boiled chicken and a hint of soap. When we asked for hot sauce or chile's, we were provided with a sauce that was similar to the red chinese hot sauce that comes in that plastic bottle with the rooster on it and an oil instilled with crushed red pepper, neither of which made me reach for my Tsingtao. Bottom line: We will not be returning even though we live a stone's throw away except for maybe takeout of their spicy seafood soup (not sure of name...sorry!).

Worst food I ate in months. This is defintely the worst food I have eaten (maybe in years). I got a chicken fried rice and shrimp fried rice (to go) for a whooping 18 bucks. The fried rice has lumps of plain rice mixed in it. There is no salt added at all. And also both the chicken and shrimp has the same stale rice except for the respective chicken and shrimp peices. Overall, I cant explain the food......but its disgusting. Dont go for it. You will regret it later.

Easily the best Thai Food in town!. Not just food, this really is Thai Cuisine! Every bite is full of several flavors, so each dish keeps your interest until the end. Consistently fresh and excellent quality.

The staff is always courteous and prompt. If you are unfamiliar with a dish, you can ask and they will help you find something that you will like.

Don't be fooled by the lack of ambience; what this restaurant lacks in decor, they make up for in service and taste!
