Don't be fooled by the "we can order anything". Remember to read the fine print. If the product is not to your liking when it comes in you won't know until it is delivered and if you don't like it, you own it or you can purchase something of equal or greater value.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE – THERE WAS NO OPTION FOR ZERO STARS SO I HAD TO PUT A "1". Dont' be fooled by the star at all. I felt obligated to warn anyone who is thinking of buying ANYTHING from York Furniture: SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE. The sales people are useless and only after their commission, the customer service is a COMPLETE JOKE and unbelievebly underwhelming. The customer service rep actually just said "Yep" on the phone to me. Really? She might need to get a new career. I can't believe that any corporation would put up with that and have emailed the manufacturer as well as the BBB. I don't even care about the furniture anymore, the point is the way we were treated. We explained to them that their repairtech had terrible body odor and they really should do something about it, her response? "No one has ever complained" What does that mean? We made it up? Having been in the customer service and hospiality industry for 30 years, I find it hard to believe that is how "customer service" works. The only upsdie is that word of mouth is powerfull stuff and we intend to use it to the fullest. DON'T GO NEAR YORK FURNITURE PEOPLE. Lesson learned.
very pleased!! – Recently purchased a bedroom set....dresser, chest, bed and mattress. Love the line and Kathleen nicely guided me to make the right purchase. Delivery guys were great, took their shoes off at the door and took away wrapping/boxes. Would definitely buy from here again.
Great Selection-In Rochester Ny – I visited several furniture stores in Rochester, York Furniture Store had the best Selection.. Quality Was what I was looking for.
I found York furniture to have not only to have an excellent selection of furniture but also There is a huge spectrum of other home furnishings including lighting fixtures, rugs, paintings, wall sculptures, that can add pizzazz and charm to your entire home. Very Impressed

Good first Experience – We stopped into the York Furniture just to get an idea what couches they have. A salesman approached us, and was very pleasant and NOT pushy. After looking around awhile, we were pretty impressed with the price for the quality. He approached us a couple of times to see if we needed anything or had questions, but other than that he didn't bother us. Once we decided we will be making a purchase, He was very helpful discussing the item details, the warranty information, and the financing. They only had the one color in stock as a sofa bed, and we didn't want to wait 8-10 weeks to order without the bed, so we decided to purchase what they had which was the color we wanted anyway. The salesman made the transaction smooth & quick, and a short while later the purchase was complete. The couch was delivered as scheduled a week later, but they had called beforehand to say the loveseat would be delayed a few days.York delivered the loveseat as scheduled as well. We didn't expect to make a purchase that day, let alone make that purchase from York. Much of our decision has to do with the terrific salesperson. I would highly recommend going to York Furniture Gallery.
wish I'd read the reviews – I shopped around a bit for a new recliner and settled on this store because of the price. I was debating between 2 shades of brown and ended up with the lighter of the 2, which the saleswoman identified as "chestnut". We wrote up the order and I paid in full (nearly $1000), at which point she shared that it might not be in stock, but even if it wasn't, was a popular item so would be on order so the usual delivery time would be expedited. But she couldn't tell if it was in stock because THE INVENTORY WASN'T ON A COMPUTER!! She told me I would be called the enxt day if it was in stock. no call, so I assumed it was not in stock. Fine.
Then I got a notification that my credit card had been charged, leading me to conclude it WAS in stock. (not necessarily - they charge you whether it is in stock or not). The woman in customer service tells me it IS in stock and I can pick it up; we set a pickup for 11am. I get there at 11am, and then wait for 45 minutes becasue there are 5 people ahead of me. Then when it is my turn - the chair is the wrong color. I got back into the store and they determine the color I wanted was in fact "redwood" not "chestnut" as the salesperson had told me, and the color I want is not in stock, but they offer to sell me the floor sample. I paid for a new one not a used one, thanks no. Then they offer to order it - 4-6 weeks. Meanwhile they have $1000 of my money. I never would have paid 100% if I'd known it would be 6 weeks. I tell him quite frankly I don't want to do business with them; no part of this experience has been satisfactory. So I tell them I want a credit. Oh, well only the manager can do that and he doesn't like to. No sh!t. But he's not in. So I go kill yet another hour of my busy Saturday waiting for the manager to arrive. When he gets there, the salesman pulls him aside and no doubt gets him up-to-speed on my request because when this guy approaches me, right off the bat he says - hey, you signed off on this color and that's what we're trying to deliver. If you have a problem, as a courtesy, we'll order you a different color. This little sh!t is blaming ME for not knowing the difference between redwood and chestnut. He insists he can't give me a refund. Bullsh!t. I contemplated having the charge frozen on my credit card. I asked him what would have been the minimum amount of the deposit and he said 50%. So I asked for a 50% refund since they're holding my money 'til god knows when. He DID agree to that. Says he'll "expedite" the order. As if.
