BEWARE! this bar has changed

This used to be a great place for a few beers & some tasty chicken wings. You could come in & be greeted by a smilling bartender while taking a seat next to a local newscaster & an off duty police officer. BOY HAVE TIMES CHANGED!!!

Upon a recent visit to this worn down & never updated bar.... I was purley TERRIFIED! First off i was asked for change twice on the 10 foot walk from my car to the door. The women bartending seemed to be mad at the world & pregnet. The wings were undercooked and not the heat i asked for. Instead of safely sitting in between a cop & a news person...I was scrunched between a drunkin frat boy & a local coke dealer yelling to each other. Im sure these people were high on something other than alcohol. Beware of this place!!! Something shady is in the air!

Neighborhood bar without a neighborhood

Richmond's has a great neighborhood bar feel to it, even though it's not really in a very residential neighborhood. It's the kind of place that feels as if it's been there forever, as comfortable as an old shoe. If I have a problem with it, it's that it's not always consistently good. Service can be fast and friendly or almost nonexistent. The wings can be the best in the city, but can also disappoint. The beer tends to run about a buck higher than at many other bars in town, too. But if you love a good tavern, don't let any of this keep you from visiting Richmond's; all in all it's a great place to kick back with a cold one.

• Cons: Inconsistent, A tad pricey
